David Welch Management has three main objectives...
To promote a select group of top-class journalists, columnists and broadcasters across an extensive range of media and sport-related activities; to establish enhanced profile and opportunities in the media and commercial world for current sportsmen and women; and to offer sponsors and sports bodies experienced consultancy advice - particularly with a view to maximising media projection in the build-up to London 2012.
During 15 award-winning years in charge of Daily Telegraph Sport (in which he campaigned vigorously for the Government to back a London Olympic bid*), David Welch acquired the expertise and connections necessary to create such a ground-breaking consultancy. This has resulted in an impressive catalogue of high-profile projects; substantially increased recognition, exposure and opportunity for a succession of DWM clients; and the publication of a large number of top quality books involving such sporting figures and institutions as Bobby Charlton, Steve Redgrave, Andy Murray, Ryan Giggs, Manchester United and Arsenal football clubs and the Olympics.
"There is no doubt that without your support there
would be no bid and we could have deprived a whole generation of
experiencing the world's greatest festival of sport first hand"
SIMON CLEGG: Chief Executive of the British Olympic Association. March 2004.
